Komori-Uta, the Lost Goddess Arc

Prologue

A Universe Exploding With Life

I never knew how I was born. I was always just around. I don't believe I had a family, a mother, a father, or any siblings. There was only one person who stayed with me all this time. His name, was Satan.

We were relatively close, we were always together, not like we really had a choice. It was just black emptiness. It was boring, we had nothing to do except talk, and after a while, we ran out of things to talk about. We realized that we had special powers, like control over different elements, and had to ability to materialize weapons.

After we learned about these powers, we began to spar, have battles, it seemed like a better way to communicate. We let our weapons do the talking, as we no longer had anything left to say with our mouths.

We hoped that these battles would be harmless, nothing would come of them. We just hoped that this was an easy way to pass the time, to make sure we wouldn't get bored in the emptiness.

.....We were wrong....

Chapter 1

A Battle That Creates the Laws of the Universe

Clash! Clang!

The sounds of two blades can be heard. It is my blade, clashing against a friend and a rival, Satan. We both learned how to materialize blades and use different types of magic. But we only stuck with using our blades, as magic was something difficult to use, and required a lot of training to master, or even use effectively.

“Huff….huff,” I was breathing heavily; this battle was much more intense than all of our other ones.

“Hmph, I am surprised of how much better at sword fighting you got, have you been training behind my back,” Satan said, cracking a devilish smile.

I smile back at him, “Perhaps I was, or maybe you just got worse at sword fighting.” I chuckled quietly to myself.

“Ha, aren’t you very funny, brace yourself for my attack,” he responded

Who does he think he is? Telling me when to defend. I’ll show him.

“Charge!” “En Garde!”

Both of our attacks felt different, our energies felt off. As if they grew stronger the moment we started our attack. As I looked ahead I noticed that he had had flames spewing from him and his blade. Simultaneously, I saw lightning sparks flashing around me and my blade. What was this? What had happened? Did we trigger something? All I know is that we were charging headlong at each other, and there was no stopping.

We collide.

It’s white, and so cold, I look down and see myself with nothing on and I am floating along, as if I am travelling somewhere. But I see nothing. Everything is white, and I don’t see anyone. Is this a dream? Have I died?...What is death? Why do I know this word? Never mind that, I want to know where I am going.

As I floated along for what seemed as seemingly endless amount of time, and I would know, I have reached some sort of exit. I emerged from the gap and looked around; it is still dark, but no longer black.  I look around and see flows of different energy, different colors, purple, green, red, blue, and so many others. I look down at my hands to see myself pale, as if I was shaken with fear. I look at my hair, which was once pink, turn into a lavish white. The different flows of energy came surrounding me, and enter my body. I felt good, great, amazing even. The different flows of energy became my source to create different things, different lives.

“This power is amazing, I can create anything from these new powers” I thought aloud.

I thought about what I was given, the power I had gained, and soon an idea had come across my mind.

“With this power, I can create something here for myself, so I won’t be so alone, so I can make something out of this. I know, I will call this thing, my ultimate creation, a Universe, one space, all connected, everyone connected, everyone always together, never alone.” I was thinking aloud again.

And after that I got to work. I connected many pieces of my power, these connections made different things that I would be able to put into my Universe. The first thing I created was different mixtures of rock, water, and fire. Combining these different mixtures together created huge floating orbs of solid rock, or pure gas. I called them planets. I roamed on these planets, walking around, to observe this creation. I realized that the surface of the planet was too cold; nothing would be able to survive in such horrid temperatures. So I decided to create something new, a mixture of fire and gas. They formed a large ball of pure condensed heat, emanating pure radiance, giving warmth to not only me but to all of the orbiting planets. I called these masses of heat, stars.

I went on to create many other things, more planets, comets, which were made from mixtures of solidified water, rock, and dust from the stars, and galaxies. Galaxies are something that I did not create, but they formed because of everything I created. Each galaxy houses multiple planets, an innumerable amount of stars, and what large star in the center of each, which provides warmth to all planets in the galaxy.

I wondered how this will all play out. I wonder what the people that I had created will do with the lives that I have given them. I had hoped that would not treat each, and always show each other kindness and be respectful to one another.

Now that the stage is set, I was preparing to create life to inhabit all of these planets, no two species shall be alike. It would prove entirely difficult to create an entire species that would cover the whole planet. So I decided to place two of each species on a planet, and let them work from there.

It would be very difficult for an ordinary creature to travel from planet to planet to see how everything grows. However, I am no ordinary creature. I am a God. A Goddess, the Goddess that has created the Universe.

Chapter 2

Flourishing Life of a Brand New Universe

It has been three million years since I first created this new Universe…

All the planets that I have created and all the species that were born have flourished and evolved the way that I had expected them to. The planets had grown in landscape and in beauty. There is much more flora than when I first started. The trees have grown tall and mighty, overshadowing the land they reside in with their ginormous stature. There are also many different plants that grow close to the ground, easy enough to be plucked from the ground and displayed by the species of each planet. Speaking of which, the species of each of these planets have grown into greatly magnificent creatures. They have built civilization and have expanded greatly. They have grown into beautiful creatures, such magnificent beings.

Their growth had made me proud of the decision I made to create everything on this plane of existence. However, with every proud moment that I had, there is a moment of sadness and regret.

Although the species that I had created grew into such respectable races, that had far too many wars. With every bit of love, comes every bit of hate I guess. These wars with very disheartening to watch. Watching them tear each other part, bloodshed everywhere, on each continent, in each forest, in every civilization, there was blood everywhere. Trees collapsed, buildings had pieces of them torn off, bodies were littered everywhere, on the streets, in the buildings, in the forests, you name it, and it was there.

I’ve grown used to such disaster striking; there isn’t much that I could do to prevent such wars. As I cannot prevent people from feeling hate towards one another. Hate is something that everyone feels, I cannot control what others feel, even if they mask their feelings for one another, the hate and resentment will stay inside, until one day it will just explode and war will erupt.

I have much sadness stored in my heart, a lot of fear, and too much regret.

The result of all this war has caused to destroy one of the planets I have created. The people of that planet fought too many wars. To the point where all that they felt was hate and resentment. They fought constant battles with each other, they wished for nothing other than to see each other tortured and suffering at the hands of their loved ones. So many of them were killed that they decided that with the scarcity of their own race, they would decide to hunt other races, from other planets. Part of me knew that they do not have the means to transport themselves to another planet and wage war there, but another part of me knew that every species in this universe can create anything if they set their mind to it. So that is why I decided to destroy the planet, to erase them from existence to make sure they will no longer wage war on anyone else. I used a comet to blow a hole straight through the core of the planet. It blew up into many different pieces of rock that continue to float endlessly through space. I’m not sure if any of them survived the blast, but then again, I have not yet met anyone who was able to survive planetary detonation. But, I guess this IS the first time that I blew up a planet, so meeting someone who survived a planet blowing up is highly unlikely.

Moving along from the sadness that is war. I have encountered two planets that have not once waged war on each other or anyone else. Those two species being the Yuletyres and the Truffles.

The Yuletyres are a race of creatures that are entirely made of rock. Their entire society is based off of me, they are a heavily religious people. They study ancient magic which stems off of mine. They have built ancient shrines in order to honor me. Their respect for me is great and I appreciated all they have done for me. I make it a great habit of mine to visit them periodically, as they always make me feel less lonely. They always shower me with different gifts and always show me the things that they have built.

“Hello Lady Goddess,” said one of the elder Yuletryes, watering their garden, “would you like a cup of tea?”

“Oh, no thank you, I’m just here for a quick visit!” I responded. I gave them a quick smile and ran off.

I was there to check on one of the most recent shrines that they have built. It was really tall, and lots of offerings were placed on the altar, along with many candles, most of which were still burning.

After investigating the shrine, I went back up into space and headed for my next stop, the Truffles.

The Truffles, unlike the Yuletyres, study no form of magic. They don’t even study any form of combat. I push them to at least study simple sword fighting techniques, but they refuse. They are very confident in their ability to love each other and never get into a war with each other. That is why I have chosen to protect them from anything the other species will try to throw at them. They are too peaceful, too kind, they should not be disturbed.

The Truffles were created with my likeness, perhaps that is why they respect me so much, they might see me as their mother, someone they look to for comfort when they are feeling sad or when they need guidance. I wish I could see myself as a good mother, I am never around long enough to help them with the sadness or issues, and that makes me feel like a horrible mother.

I arrive at the planet of the Truffles and I begin to descend to their land.

On my arrival, they greet me with flora necklaces and crowns. They bring me to their grand hall where they have prepared a feast in my honor.

“Oh, no, please, you didn’t have to go through all this trouble,” I tell them.

“What are you talking about? You are our home’s greatest queen, our home’s only queen!” says the Grand Elder, while all of the other Truffles cheer behind me.

“You are basically like our mother!” said one of the children, on top of his father’s shoulders.

I blush furiously. So they do see me as their mother. This was not what I was expecting. I’m not sure what I should feel, is it sadness, regret? Or perhaps happiness, and joy?

“Come now, let us begin the feast! They is plenty to go around, so please, feel free to stuff yourself to your heart’s content!” spoke the Grand Elder, with the crowd cheering behind him once more.

There was a lot of laughter. I don’t know, it’s just felt very relaxing to sit around and not worry about anything. But as a Goddess I cannot afford to just sit around and let everything pass me by. I have many planets to look out for, and also many species to look out for, especially the Truffles.

“Goodbye Lady Goddess! Come visit us again soon!” shouted the Grand Elder.

All of the children came together to give a grand group hug. It gave me a warm feeling, it made me very happy deep down inside.

I exited the planet’s atmosphere and continued to fly around, periodically checking other planets to make sure everything is fine with them. No wars breaking out, everyone is helping each other out, they are all adding onto their civilization.  I was done with my trips for the day, I visited everything, I can now go and rela-”

“W-what is this?” I said, with my voice shaking. “I have never felt this kind of energy around here before.” It was very sinister. But, I feel like I know this type of energy, it is very familiar. Have I seen someone, or something with this type of energy before. I look around and see ahead that there is a strange planet up ahead, one that I have never seen before. One that I definitely did not create. Who else got my powers of creation?

I think and think and think, until I finally realize.

“When I got my powers, I remember beforehand I saw all white, and I was very cold, but before that feeling, I remember seeing someone else, I cannot remember that, it is all hazy.” I thought aloud.

I kept thinking until I finally remembered his name, his face…who he was..

I began to fly toward the planet, my face lighting up with joy as I finally got the chance to see an old friend of mine, or should I say, an old rival…

Chapter 3

Old Friends, New Faces, Forever Rivals

Continuing to fly towards the strange planet, I kept wondering to myself. I was unsure of what the planet was like, who inhabited it, what it was like. The planet was rather large, massive even. It also looked very dark, but the energy surrounding it is very strange, almost as if I have felt it before. When I finally reached the massive planet, I flew down and entered the atmosphere.

It is very gloomy here. Everything is dark and sad, no one seems very happy. It is also very warm here. I guess that’s because of the amount of fire located around here. The species of this planet are strange. They are very mixed; I see some with horns, and some with tails, even some with both. Their eyes are entirely black, I even see a little bit of red in some of them. Strangely enough, they look rather similar to me, like they were also based of my likeness. Maybe they were, maybe the creator of this planet has a thing for me, and mimicked their people to look like me. How flattering, but I would still like to know who is behind this.

I continue to walk down around the planet until I eventually stumble upon a large castle, gigantic in size, seemingly endless. If I was going to find the person behind all of this, they would most certainly be inside of that castle. I began to ascend the stairs leading up to the castle. This staircase was very long; it’s hard to believe that anyone would be able to build this so easily. “How strange,” I was thinking aloud, “who would have the time and ability to build such a magnific-” I blacked out for a second. When I came to, I noticed I was on the ground, my nose and head are throbbing. I have made it to the top of the castle, there was a man staring at me, with his hand on the doorknob.

“I’m sorry, milady, I didn’t expect someone to be outside of the door, no one usually comes up here,” said the tall, menacing man.

“No no, I’m sorry, I should’ve of been more attentive while I was walking,” I responded quickly.

“Here, let me help you up,” said the man, extending his arm towards me.

I grabbed his hand and he pulled me back up. I got a better look at his face and I was actually surprised. He looked very handsome, very…kingly, if that’s a word I could use. “So, uh, what’s your name?” I asked, still holding his hand.

“The people around here call me Lucifer, and I am known as this planet’s creator,” the tall man had said.

“You…possess creation magic as well?” I asked hesitantly.

“As well? I don’t believe I follow?” he replied.

“Well, actually, I created everything outside of this planet, all the other ones surrounding this one,” I explained to him.

We stared into each other’s eyes. His looked so empty, like a void, or a space that was completely empty of all things. But for some reason, some unknown reason, I was able to see everything about him, and that was when I remembered, and I think that is when he had remembered as well. This was the man that was with me before all of this started, before everything here was created. It’s been three million years now, and it still feels like it was only yesterday. I don’t understand how time works, but right now, I am glad to see him again.

“S-Satan?” I asked shockingly.

“Oh, so you remember, as do I,” he replied to me.

“It’s been so long since we have seen each other,” I said, pulling him into a loving embrace.

“Yes, I know, far too long,” he answered, accepting my embrace.

Once we let go of each other, he asked me, “Do you wish for me to give you a tour? It is rather big and you may get lost.” I nodded in agreement; we began walking through the grand castle. There were many doors, which probably lead to more doors, judging by the size of this place. I have so many questions to ask him, but I don’t know where I should begin. I’m not sure if I will even get answers to all of them. The silence in the room was getting to be awkward and uncomfortable.

“So, uh, Komori,” he said, with voice was a little shaky, “I noticed that your hair has changed from pink to white…it looks cute on you.”

“E-eh?” I checked my hair to see what he was talking about. I completely forgot about my hair changing colors. “O-oh, right, thank you, you’ve grown different since the last time I saw you as well.” I began to blush furiously.

“Anyway, that is beside the point, I’m sure you want me to explain what has happened to me, and what I was doing.”

“Well, when we clashed our blades in our last battle, I saw you flying into a light, your eyes were closed, as if you were unconscious, I tried to reach out to you, but I was too far away to get to you. When you were gone into the light, I was pulled into a mysterious dark force. When I woke up, I was in a big empty space, but it had pieces of light floating around, in which those pieces of light flew into my body, and I began to feel a huge flow of energy. It was then that I had realized my power to create something to call home, and live on. So, as you did, I created my own planet, but that was all, I did not see any more reason to create anything else. I was satisfied with what I had created, and I was not planning to change the way I was living. I was living here for the rest of my time. And now, you are here.”

“I see, so you must have gotten the same power that I had gotten,” I responded.

“Precisely.”

“How about this, instead of staying here, why don’t we go out, and explore the rest of this spatial plane,” I suggested, “we could find something very interesting around here.”

“That sounds like an excellent idea, let us be off then,” he said.

We flew out of the planet’s atmosphere and began to fly around. For some reason, the universe was a lot brighter today; the colors were a lot more vibrant that what I usually experience. And there is a very warm feeling happening in my chest. I feel very happy, very warm.

We continued to fly around the universe, until we discovered a large, malformed sphere, it was absolutely gigantic, three times the size of a normal planet. It also blended in with the space around it, making it camouflage with the rest of space. However, you could see the ripples happening on its outer edge, so it is easily identifiable. We came close to it and placed our hands on the edge, they slid right through. The edge of this space was permeable; we were allowed to enter this thing. It wasn’t a planet, the form is too gelatinous, and it lacks a core, something all planets possess. The inside is just as empty as the rest of space, but, the energy it is giving off seems to be weighing my magic down. It was as if it was subduing my magic, preventing me from using it, or at least, limiting my use of it. Lucifer told me the same, so I guess it affects the two of us. As a test, I fire an energy bolt at the barrier, and it was completely absorbed. Just as I expected, this area is specifically designed to prevent any magic from exiting or entering it.

“Hey, I have an idea,” Lucifer said.

“Hmmm?” I questioned

“Since we were brought to this universe through our powers combining through our battle, do you think this energy field is strong enough to subdue our magic enough for us to not be pulled through another vortex like that?” he wondered.

“So what you are saying is that we should use this as a kind of sparring ground?” I asked him.

“Yeah, something like that,” he responded.

“Well, I think it is very possible that this field can prevent something like that from happening again,” I said.

I felt a little uneasy about this space, the flow of time and spatial magic felt off. It felt as if I was lighter, weightless even.

“Um, before we go on and fight, I think we should check out the rest of this space,” I mentioned.

“Why is that?” he questioned.

“Well, from the outside, this space looked to occupy a huge amount of area, if that is truly the case, that we should at least investigate the rest of this space, because if we some strange anomaly, or something of the sort, we could discover something interesting,” I explained.

“When you put it like that, it does make a lot of sense,” he responded, “let’s go.”

The two of us continued to float slowly throughout the space, making sure to check every nook and cranny of this place. It wasn’t until we reached the very center that we discovered a large black sphere floating there. You could sense the aura even from the distance we were at. It was very dark, almost empty. The emptiness of the ball was even greater than the emptiness of this entire space. Suddenly, the entire area began to shake, and the ball grew black tendrils, which secreted a silvery dust. In an instant, the ball began to launch its tendrils towards us. We both reacted quickly and flew upwards to dodge them. We instantly summoned our blades, and began striking at the tendrils.

The ball quickly grew more and more of its “limbs” and kept sending them at us. My sword was too thin to destroy them, but it was fast enough for me to block the attacks. Just then, an idea struck my head, I could use my speed and blocking technique to move closer and strike the center of the problem, the ball. I looked back behind me and saw that Lucifer was standing back, and striking at each tendril, destroying them easily. I thought to myself that I could use him to destroy them so I could get close. I went against the idea because he was too far away and flying to him would mean turning my back to the ball and that was too big of a danger. So, I went with my original plan and began launching myself towards the ball.

As I got closer to the ball, I pulled my sword back to prepare to strike through it. Before I could get to the sphere, a tendril from under me struck, and sent my blade flying upwards, where another tendril grabbed the blade and pulled the blade back into the sphere. Before I could even react to my lack of a weapon, another tendril grabbed me and began to pull me into the ball. As I was getting dragged, I began to hear whispers. I also heard Lucifer’s distant cries for me; however they were drowned out by the whispers.

The whispers spoke, “This is what destiny has foretold, do not deny the fate of this universe, with creation comes destruction.”

The whispers constantly echoed those words. They kept repeating themselves over and over and over, enough to drive any man insane. As I reached the crown of the ball, I began to feel empty, and stopped trying to fight back. The darkness gave me a sense of comfort, it made me feel warm. I remember seeing nothing but blackness.

And then…I forgot who I was.

Chapter 4 - Slumber In The Infinite Darkness
(Author’s Note: The story will get a perspective shift from this point on, this is to represent the fact that Komori lost her sanity and is unable to narrate her life. Thank you, and enjoy)

Lucifer stood in awe as he looked into the black sphere that had just swallowed the Goddess whole. The tendrils that were attacking him had receded back into the ball. The ball began to shake and with it, the entire space. Lucifer looked around and saw the ball began to shake more violently. The ball burst open, and sent a shock-wave made of shadow energy.

Once the shock-wave cleared up, Komori appeared, in the nude, and black feathers were falling around her. Lucifer noticed that her hair had turned black, and here right eye has changed. Her eye had become black, with several white dots spread across, as if they were representing the stars in space. And in the center of her eye, was a big white star, represented the eye’s pupil. The black feathers surrounded Komori, and covered her bare skin. The feathers formed a black, satiny dress on her body. She looked straight ahead to Lucifer and smiled deviously.

Komori reached behind her back and summoned her rapier. The rapier’s steel was stained in black and the ornaments were replaced with a skull and bones. Komori twirled around and launched a purple lightning at Lucifer. He blocked the attack with his sword and entered a guard stance. Komori smiled and held her sword behind her. Lightning began to surge the sword and formed an electrical casing around it, shaping the blade like a great sword. She rushed toward Lucifer and swung downward, in which he dodged by jumping backwards. Komori smiled at him and her eye began to glow.

“I appreciate the entertainment you gave me, but for now, this is farewell,” Komori said, just as she vanished leaving behind a flurry of feathers.

Lucifer looked around in confusion, trying to understand the events that had just transpired. Empty Space was once again empty.

Komori flew senselessly through space. She was floating slowly, not having a destination in mind. Her eyes were droopy, as if she had lost all emotion, that devious smile she once had seemed to have faded away. The tips of her hair had reverted back to their original white color. Komori sighed.

“I wonder what that was, I’m not sure, but I wish to find out. The powers that I have gained from this form seem to be more destructive than the ones in my original form.”

Komori decided to fly to an isolated planet. One she had created long ago, with no species ever living on it. Just in case she needed an escape or a place to relax. On arrival, she began to walk around, trying to test out the power she had earned from the mysterious black ball.

As she continued to walk, she began to visions. Her visions showed her words and phrases, such as “fire” and “it’s time to burn.” She became worried about what she was seeing, as she was not sure if these visions told her of the future or of what her powers were capable of doing. While she was wondering about her visions, she fell into a sinkhole that brought her into a dark, sealed caved. She looked around, unable to see anything. Just then, she saw the ring of stones around her erupt into vicious flames. Out of the flames came a creature, entire made of flames, with the shape of a human, and piercing yellow eyes.

“Oh ho-ho-ho, my dear Goddess, I’ve been waiting to see you for such a long time,” the flame creature said, cracking a devilish smile.

“Just who are you? Actually, what are you?” Komori asked.

“I am the only inhabitant of this planet, I have taken up my residence here for about a thousand years now.”

“I thought I turned this planet invisible, no one should be able to find it.”

“Ah, but my dear Goddess, I was here since the birth of this planet.”

“H-how? I checked everything, no one was ever here.”

The creature began to crackle loudly, “I am this planet’s core, my dear. I am what caused to planet to stable for the entire time since you created it.”

“But how did you gain a body? A way of pulling me down here?”

“Well, I guess I wasn’t absolutely honest with you, I am, in fact, the core of this planet, but I guess one could also call me a demon.”

“A demon? Like what Lucifer calls his people?”

“Exactly. Right on the nose.”

“But that still doesn’t explain what you want to do with me.”

“Ahahaha, my dear Goddess, I brought here for one reason…to kill you,” the creature’s eyes widened, and so did his smile. “Your emotional state is far too unstable, and I was able to predict that you would arrive at this planet, so this is the perfect time to kill you.”

“If you think I am going to go down without a fight, then let me tell you, you are wrong.”

Komori summoned her rapier and charged at the creature, stabbing him through the chest. The creature was not fazed by the attack, and simply vanished back into the flames. He quickly reappeared and kicked Komori in the face, sending her back to the other end of the circle. He quickly dashed back to Komori and whispered in her ear, “See? What did I tell you? With the state you are in currently, you cannot harm me at all.”

“Is that so? Perhaps you are correct,” she said, swatting him away, “but, what if I were to throw away these emotions?”

“You? Throw them away? That would prove dangerous to the universe itself. What good would be a God with no emotion?”

“I won’t throw them away forever, just long enough to get rid of you.”

“Oh? Now I’m starting to get fired up. Show me. Show me the strength that you have, oh Miss Goddess of the Universe.”

Komori’s eyes went blank temporarily and reverted back to the way they were. Her right eye’s stars were glowing brighter than usual, and her hair had turned entirely black once more. She looked straight at the flame creature and smiled. She put her hand behind her back and summoned her rapier once more. The electricity began to surround the rapier once more, this time making a casing that was shaped like a katana.

“Ohhhhh? So this is what you can do? How thrilling!” The creature’s eyes widened once more, this time with more excitement.

Komori rushed speedily and readily at the demon and thrust her sword into his chest. The demon smiled and was preparing to vanish once again, but before he could Komori began to stab his body rapidly with the sword. The demon, caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, jumped back in fear. Quickly, he vanished into the flames and appeared behind the Goddess and delivered a swift kick into her back, sending her flying forward. Komori was quick to rise up; shrugging off the kick like it was nothing; she looked behind her and cracked a large grin. She charged once more, preparing to do more strikes than the last time. The demon was prepared this time and summoned a pillar of flame in between him and Komori. Komori, caught off guard, stopped her attack, only to be punched by the demon, who moved through the pillar of flames.

Komori began smiling devilishly at the demon, “This is so very exciting, I can feel my blood asking for more.”

“What are you talking about? What are you planning?” asked the demon, with a hint of worry in his voice.

Komori took the katana and put it near her hand, and sliced, making a cut in her hand. Komori threw the blood leaking from her hand toward the demon. On contact, the demon screamed in anguish, “AHHH! What is it in your blood that causes it to burn so much!? Haha, just kidding!”

The creature laughed manically at the goddess’ failed attempt at hurting him. “It was a good effort though; your planned could’ve work. I guess since it’s about time for me to kill you, I’ll give you and explanation about my existence.”

Komori was looking down, waiting for the demon’s explanation.

“You see, long ago, when you created the isolated planet, I was created for the sole purpose of being the core of this planet, and keeping it from falling apart. I despised you, no, I still despise you, for putting me through this hell.”

“So, what turned you into the thing you are now?”

“I was offered a contract, by a small man, whose skin was entirely black and eyes were an unforgettable red color. He asked me if I wished to be given a physical form, to exact my revenge against you. And I gladly accepted.”

“What were the terms of the contract?”

“Pardon me?”

“Each contract has a set of terms, you know, “I’ll give you this if you give me that.”

“Ah, right, the contract simply stated if I succeed in killing you, I would be given eternal bliss and happiness.”

Komori smiled and began to laugh sadistically. The demon looked at her, insulted, and promptly asked, “What?! What is so funny to you!?”

“Oh nothing, it’s just the fact that you thought you had the chance to kill me, I find it so hilarious.”

“What is that supposed to mean!?”

“It means,” Komori said, as she warped and kicked him to the edge of the circle, “you lose.”

“Tell me something Mr. Demon, how does a fire survive without oxygen?”

“It doesn’t, but there is plenty of oxygen out here, so I’m not sure how you plan to remove it all.”

Komori’s devilish smile returned to her face once more. She placed both hands on the ground, in the center of the circle, and began to focus. Her right eye’s main star, the pupil, began to glow brightly. The cavern began to shake violently, leaving the demon distressed and confused.

“What are you planning?”

“Think of it as a simple relocation.” The cavern stopped shaking, but it still felt as if it was slightly moving.

“What did you do?”

“Just watch.” Komori raised her right arm high to sky, and cracked a quick smile to the demon. She slowly lowered her hand downward, which sent a shock wave that blew off the cave’s walls, revealing that the cave was floating in deep space.

“H-how did you manage to do this?” the demon asked, terrified.

“Well, since it’s about time for you to die, I’ll explain to you what happened,” Komori points to her right eye, “this eye grants me an ability of mass teleportation, it allows me transport entire planets to a new place if necessary. However, since my goal was to kill you, I only transported the cave from the planet.”

“How do you know all of this about yourself? I thought this form just happened?”

“Well, it did, but I feel that I know everything that I need to know.”

“But wait, without the core, how will the planet survive?”

“It was a necessary sacrifice to make sure you never come back.”

The demon grew smaller and smaller, as did the flames around it. Komori began to laugh sadistically. “Well,” the demon said, “they were right about you, you are all bark, but you are also all bite.” And with that, the flame demon vanished forever.

Komori looked around the rock she had transported into space. “Come to think of it, this hunk of rock is pretty huge, and I am short a place to stay now, with the whole planet blowing up. Guess I could turn this into some kind of castle.”
