The Kage Arc

The Creation of Shinda Kage

The Universe had only just been created when Satan felt rather lonely. Goddess Komori has been busy creating more to the universe, leaving Satan in his planet, Gehanna, alone. Satan had also had his own powers of creation, but decided it was not necessary now that he had all he required to live on. The only one true issue Satan had been dealing with, was loneliness. Goddess Komori was in her kingdom in the sky at the time, when Satan decided to create a child of his own. Satan first decided to create a woman to love for all eternity, but realized that it had been too much effort, since he had not been given the feeling of love. Instead, Satan impregnated a woman named Lilith. The woman was in a human form, but had all the genetics of a demon. Komori and Satan had not spoken in nine months, the same amount of time it would take for a child to be born on Earth. The universe began to be covered by dark clouds surrounded by lightning. Komori rushed out to her castle's balcony only to see the storm spreading through the universe. She had realized what was going on the moment she noticed the clouds coming from Gehenna, only a few planets away from her kingdom. The time had come, and Lilith was finally in labor. Komori watched from her kingdom as Gehenna grew brighter and brighter, and began to sing a lullaby that echoed through the universe.

Unravel this world around me just before it pulls me under
But now at this rate I fear it’s too late
Give up your searching
I don’t want to be found
Your gaze would haunt me

Shinda was almost born, as Satan had noticed the lullaby being sung by Komori. At the time, Komori's name had only been "Lost Goddess" or "Fumei Megami", just as Satan's name had only been "Fallen God" or "Taoreta Kami".  Komori continued to sing the lullaby to the child, who had finally been born.

I’ve thrown away reality and it has changed me
I’m not the same, don’t call my name
I fear I’ll taint you
But if you must see look through your memory

Komori began to tear up as she sang the lullaby, feeling pain as the child was being born. She felt a strange amount of emotion as the child was being born. Satan had realized, that the child he had just created would be the child to replace him once his era had been over, but could not understand why Komori was crying. Komori continued to sing her lullaby, and the new born child had opened it's eyes and cried as well.

That’s where I will live on…

Finally, Satan had realized what this child truly meant to Komori. The first born, Satan looked at him, and then at Lilith. Komori closed her eyes, knowing that Satan finally noticed what hurt her the most. Lilith was dead. As a demon with very little energy, giving birth to the most powerful child in the universe was too much for Lilith to handle. Lilith's soul slowly flew out of her, and entered the new born's heart. Satan looked at the new born, and whispered; "Shinda...". Komori smiled, and sang loudly.

This loneliness is infinite
It’s laughing at the innocent
I can’t tune out the memory
I’m screaming out for mercy

The child stopped crying, and opened it's pure black eyes. For a moment, Satan felt the child's energy pulsate around him. He now knew, that he created something that one day could be stronger than the Goddess and himself combined, and in fear, put the child back down into it's crib.

Inside I’ve been shaken, my sanity taken
Our broken halves, they intertwine
From once was yours and once was mine
I’m breakable, unbreakable
I’m shakable, unshakable
I’m breakable, unbreakable
I’m shakable, unshakable
I’m breakable, unbreakable
I’m shakable, unshakable
I won’t let you contaminate me
Unravel this world around me just before it pulls me under
But now at this rate I fear it’s too late

Komori slowly finished the lullaby of the new born child. The dark clouds finally vanished, and formed aurora lights, known on Earth as the northern lights. Gehenna returned to it's natural color, and the lights surrounded the planet. Little Shinda looked at the lights from the glass ceiling, and fell asleep instantly. Satan looked up at the lights, and dropped his head after gazing at the body of his dead wife. Had Satan finally felt love? He would never admit it, he looked away and left the room. Lilith's body disintegrated moments later, leaving the sleeping Shinda alone.

I’ve fallen in a wicked trap
But still, you reach for me
So close your eyes and say goodbye, before I’m history
But if you must see look through your memory
Because that’s where I’ll live on....

The last few words Komori sang echoed the longest, and the universe returned to it's normal form once more, with a little something added. Komori had created a star, only slightly above planet Earth, to the north. The Northern Star.
Explanation of the Northern Star and Lullaby:
The Northern Star leads people when they are lost, and depend on it at all times. The star always leads to hope, and safety. The lullaby explains the bond that Komori and Shinda could have, because she will depend on him, as he will depend on her, even when either of them don't want to be found. No matter how things go, neither of them would forget each other, because the Northern Star will remind them that they have somebody to depend on when something goes wrong, and that they are never alone in this universe.

Azazel and Eve

Eve
Over billions of years after the creation of the children of Satan, Shinda, the next in line to rule over hell, had urged for children of his own. During this time, Satan was worried that a force would stop Shinda from seeking love from a woman. However, Shinda did not think for once second that something would stop him. Shinda's first decision was to bargain with his good friend goddess Komori for a child of his own. As requested, Komori created a child for Shinda, but at a cost of creating another child for Shinda to care for. Shinda did not want twins, and so he chose to take the female instead. At first glance, Shinda knew that her name would fit to be Eve. The other child, Adam, was then taken by Goddess Komori to be nurtured for an everlasting amount of time until he would pass. While Eve was given the genes of Shinda, Adam was neither immortal, or a demon, and so he died never learning the truth of his long lost sister. Eve was taken care of by Shinda for a long time until another newborn had appeared in his their lives.
Azazel
Shinda had met the woman of his dreams, and Eve had just only turned one. While raising Eve, Shinda had been planning to marry Aki no ame, or Autumn (Rain). A year had gone by and Aki had given birth to Azazel. Shinda was happy to have a son, and that Eve would have a younger brother to take care of as well. For 15 years, Shinda and Aki had taken care of Azazel and Eve. Once both children were old enough, Shinda told them the truth of their creation, and what they really are. Eve, was not surprised, as she had always felt out of place from the other races. Azazel, on the other hand, felt disgusted and betrayed. Of course, this threw Azazel into insanity for a long time, and had to be locked in a Demon Asylum for 2 years until he could accept the truth. Once he was fine again, he realized his potential and told Shinda he would stay in hell to help the Demon race grow strong. Shinda allowed Azazel to do so, and signed him up for schooling in hell. Since then, Azazel resumes to study in hell with intention to become a great noble for the demons.

Aki No Ame
Shinda had already been gifted Eve at the time he had met his true love, Aki no ame (Autumn Rain). Together, they raised Eve until Aki had given birth to their son, Azazel. This led the two parents to raise Azazel and Eve until they were ready to be on their own. However, Aki was never aware of Shinda's dark truth until they were finally engaged. At the first mention of it, Aki assumed nothing more than a joke out of Shinda's mouth, as she did not believe in the supernatural. Aki at the time, was a smart human girl, who had studied several things but enjoyed astronomy. She had bright orange hair with a mix of red, and her eyes seemed to never stay the same color, but remained in the red/brown color mixture. When Eve had just turned 3, she had a strange change to her, in which her eye color was at a permanent black, and her skin would turn grey whenever she would get angry. This proved to Aki, that Shinda was not at all joking. Aki had no choice to accept it, as she was in love with Shinda. Once Eve turned 18, and Azazel turned 17, both children were off to do their own things in life, Eve resumed to live on Earth with the human race, and learned to control her skin changes. Azazel went off to hell to become a noble of the demons, and to spread knowledge of hell and sins. Only a few years after the kids had gone to do their own doing, Aki had become strangely distant from Shinda. On September 23rd of 2015, Shinda was to confront Aki about her strangeness. However, Aki had been expecting it for a while, and so when Shinda entered the room, he would only notice purple auras coming out of Aki. Shinda tried to deny anything that supported this being the same aura that destroyed the planet Nekotatia, but it seemed useless, as it was clear to him that was exactly what had possessed his wife. Shinda could not kill Aki, so he collapsed only to see his daughter Eve, come in chanting a forbidden exorcism on her mother. Shinda was speechless, he could not move as he knew this was for the best. Once the exorcism had finished, the aura flew out of Aki, and escaped out of the planet. Shinda looked at Aki in joy, knowing she had been saved, up until blood came pouring out of her blank eyes. Shinda looked down as Aki had collapsed onto the ground. Eve did not know this entity was so powerful, and was filled with tears as she watched the body of her mother slowly disintegrate into purple ashes. Shinda had no choice but to banish the ashes, leaving no trace of his wife's existence. Since that day, September 23rd was known as the Autumnal Equinox, as it was the day of equal sunlight, and moonlight.
Eve's Best Friend
Born a child with many ambitions, Eve was always close to her parents. Unfortunately for her, she had been a single child for years. Common stories talk about years later, in which she had finally grown with a sibling of her own, Azazel. At the first few years of her life, Eve had felt lonely. Her father, Shinda Kage, son of Satan, was always busy studying and summoning. On the other hand, Eve's mother, Aki, had purchased manga for Eve to read to keep her occupied. Only a few years later would Eve move from reading just manga, to books on exorcisms and studying the Necronomicon. One day, Eve passed a page in the Necronomicon that summoned two spirits, named Iblis and Asura. After a while, Eve grew close to her brother Azazel and no longer needed the spirits. Iblis remained with Eve for a long time following, but Asura went to serve Satan in hell. Eventually, Eve fell into a long and painful depression, but Iblis stayed by her side for a long time to keep her from doing something stupid. One day, however, Iblis had to leave Eve. As a spirit, Iblis had a second job to keep up besides protect Eve, and that job was to serve the high Soul Master. When Iblis left, Eve fell into another depression, but this time Iblis could not return, as his duty for the next five years was to serve the Soul Master, no breaks. Following the main story, Iblis makes a return to Eve in chapter 6.5, and defends Eve from Judas, a Demon and Spirit hunter. Iblis had learned to fight in those five years, and became the strongest spirit warrior around. Once he was released, he ran straight to Eve's aid, but left moments after, to finish the final task, which would turn Iblis into a demon. This way, he could defend Eve and be by her side as something real. A spirit is similar to that of a demon, with the acceptation of strength and speed.

However, this left Eve on her own for a very long time. Eventually, Eve could not take her life any longer, and decided should would attempt to end her life. As she stood on top of a roof, she looked off to the village she was about to leave behind. She closed her eyes, and prepared to end her life. As she tilted, a voice from behind her screamed.

"NO!" the voice echoed. Eve's eyes opened wide, as she did not expect somebody to find her. She turned around, to find a girl standing at the door. The girl was crying, and took one step forward.

"I know it's tough now! I know it is, but it's not worth ending your life over it!" the girl screamed in tears. "Stop it! You're a good person you don't need to do this!" she continued as her tears hit the floor. Eve started to cry, and stepped away from the edge. She wiped her eyes and looked at the crying girl.

"Y-you idiot! Why did you stop me!?" Eve screamed at the girl, as she wiped her eyes again. The girl looked at Eve, and ran to hug her.  Eve's eyes widened again, she could not move, because for the first time in a long time, somebody actually cared about her. Eve hugged the girl and cried harder. For a few minutes they remained in that position, crying. The next day, the two girls woke up on the roof. Eve looked at the girl, and smiled. "Thank you... I didn't know what I was thinking.." Eve explained. The girl smiled and stuck her tongue out.

"I'm just glad you're okay, Eve." the girl said. Eve tilted her head in confusion.

"Wait.. how do you know me..?" Eve asked.

"Eve Kage, a second year, right?" the girl assumed.

"Huh... you must be from around here I guess?" Eve asked.

"Mhm! Lucy Koibito, at your service Eve-chan!" the girl replied.

"Well then, Lucy. I suppose I can't just say thank you and say my goodbyes. How about I treat you to a coffee?" Eve offered. Lucy smiled and nodded.

"That sounds nice, thank you." Lucy replied. The girls got up, and out to the coffee shop. Since that day, Eve and Lucy had been the best of friends, and the closest anyone could ever be. Eve and Lucy spent most of their time together, including in school, since they had the same classes together.

That was the day Eve met a new friend, a new sister.

A Grave Error by Seven Fools

For trillions of years, battles had been fought in deep space at the assumption that it would cause no harm to the life of the universe. The most frequent of battles being against the Demon Lord, Satan, and the Goddess Komori-uta.  However, this battle is not one to cause the most havoc upon the world. As a matter of fact, the most dangerous of battle ever to happen in the universe is the battle of the 7 deadly sins. During this time, Satan had created 8 children to assist him throughout his duties. Although the sins remain to be 7, the primary child being Shinda, was never put into the court of the sins to avoid any problems that would occur. Little did Satan know, Shinda would have been the barrier to stop the sins from any chaos. Over a billion years after their creation, the 7 Sins reached an argument that had all 7 of them at war with each other. The 7 Sins being the most powerful demons behind Satan and Shinda could cause more problems than any other race out in the universe. The battle lasted for years, and Satan could not stop them. During the final days of the battle, the 7 Sins decided it was necessary to finish each other off. This was the fight that created the most dangerous entity in the universe. When all 7 weapons collided at once, all the powers and life-forces had been drained out and formed a large dark purple cloud, almost spirit-like. At first the sins thought nothing of it, but when they had realized what they just created, even the power of Satan, Shinda, and the Goddess could do nothing of it. As of that day, the 7 sins court had been disbanded, but the clan remained together as nobles of the demon arc, and are still Satan's most loyal subjects. Wrath and Envy live to stop the force they had created, however the other 5 sins refuse to touch any sort of forbidden demon magic ever again. For the next eternity, the force continues to enter the core of a planet to suck out it's life-force and eradicate an entire species. The most recent planet to feel the wrath of this entity was Nekotatia, as it takes a several million years for the force to drain out a planet's power. It is believed that the only way to stop this entity is the destruction of the entire universe, along with the creators of this universe. The entity would then have nothing left to live off of and will fade away. This method being the last resort, Wrath and Envy continue to try and stop this force from taking another planet. The more planets this entity consumes, the stronger it becomes and the less time to destroy a planet it takes. The entity was never given a specific name, but many noble planets give it the name Rosuto tsumi, or Lost Sin. Many legends say that Lost Sin would take form as the race it is planning to annihilate next, in an attempt to learn as much of the planet as it could before planting itself inside the core.

Mizu and Shinda

Shinda never enjoyed knowing he was to be King of Hell one day. As a matter of fact, he tried very hard to avoid hell by spending a lot of time with his friends. Shinda had already been trained to defend himself from any opponent, even a God. Little did Shinda know, one day he would have to go against something almost as strong as a god. For the most part, it was a normal day in Kantan Town, Shinda and his friends; Anshu and Asura, were walking around a forest looking for something to do. Once they were deep in the forest, they found a small pond, with very dark blue water. Gazing at it, Asura recommended backing away, as it might be dangerous. Anshu disagreed, and suggested dropping a rock into it. Shinda watched as the two of them argued, until a mist appeared from the pond. Slowly everybody but Shinda backed away. They called for him, but he stood still. Suddenly, a woman came out from the pond. She had blue hair, and wore a blue dress. All three guys stared at her blankly, hoping she meant no harm. Once she fully appeared from the pond, she turned to look at Shinda.

"Shinda.. Kage.. Prince of Gehenna... what brings you here...?" the woman asked. Asura and Anshu looked at Shinda and slowly back at the woman. She smiled, and walked towards Shinda. Shinda stood in place, grasping his katana just in case. The woman looked at him, and then at his hand. "You mustn't be afraid, I will not harm you." she said. Shinda looked at her, and let go of his katana. She blinked a few times, and grinned. "Silly boy." she said, kicking him down and sending two beams of water at the other two. The beams quickly formed into orbs, and trapped both of the guys from interfering. Shinda quickly rolled to the side and jumped back up, pulling out his katana. "Prince of Hell, have you no manners? It is rather rude to pull a blade on a woman." the woman said.

"I think this is an exception, don't you? Brute.." Shinda replied. The woman smiled, and created a waraxe using water. She swung at Shinda, but he managed to block the attack with his katana, and quickly move back.

"What, I would have expected better fighting skills from you of all people, prince." the woman noticed. "Ah, but I suppose this will make it easier to defeat you." she continued. Grabbing her waraxe, she jumped towards Shinda and attempted another attack. Shinda quickly rolled to the side, and made a fatal blow to the woman's waraxe. She looked at Shinda with a devilish grin. "If you don't fight back, you'll lose more than just your friends darling." she said.

"Who are you, what do you want?" Shinda asked.

"Mizu, Queen of the water. What do I want? More power." she explained, recreating her waraxe.

"You Greedy bitch, fine then, I'm not gonna go easy on you." Shinda replied. Mizu laughed, and looked at Shinda. He quickly jumped, and swung at Mizu, who jumped back and spun around. She tried to kick Shinda, but he grabbed her foot and flipped her over. Before she could get up, Shinda's katana was at her neck. "Told ya.." Shinda said.

"Poor kid, you're in my land now." Mizu said, turning into water and disappearing. Shinda stood in place, and waited for any sound. Soon after, a little splash was heard behind him. Shinda waited a moment for Mizu to come out of the water, but before he could attack, she pulled him down into the water. Mizu had a strong grasp on Shinda, and kept pulling him down. Shinda, on the other hand, was attacking Mizu, who was taking several blows to the heart by Shinda's katana. Once they reached the bottom of the waters, Shinda finished Mizu off, and tried to swim up. Unfortunately, Shinda had run out of air, and slowly his vision blurred. For a moment, Shinda could see a girl coming down to save him, a girl with brown hair, in a white dress. Shinda woke up a few minutes later outside the pond, along with Asura and Anshu. They looked around, but nobody could seem to remember who or what saved them.
